Eugenia Falleni aka: Harry Leo Crawford

Eugenia Falleni spent most of her life masquerading as a man and took on the alias of Harry Crawford. It is a tragic life story of falling in love with a woman, marrying her and later murdering her for fear that her secret would be revealed. Incarcerated in New South Wales, Australia at age 35 for murder, she was eventually released where she lived out the rest of her years as a shopkeep before dying as a result of being struck by a vehicle.

Eugenia Falleni's portrait is one of 29 the artist has painted as part of a show titled "Second Chances".
