Becky's large scale abstract works on canvas are heavily influenced by her educational background in psychology. Her lively and expressive pieces are an exploration of the human spirit. She interprets our individual and collective struggles for self discovery as we seek identity, meaning and affiliation. Her method involves working very gesturally. Her bold, immediate brush strokes and aggressive scratchings evoke a sense of deep narrative. Her spontaneous, intuitive style of work allows her to illuminate the inspiring and unpredictable nature of life and the world around her. Becky has exhibited in many juried, solo and group shows. She works in a home studio surrounded by nature.
