Canvas Gallery Welcomes Artist Jody Joseph

We're pleased to welcome Dundas based painter Jody Joseph on board!

Jody is a long-time art instructor who also spends several months a year painting and teaching in a tiny walled hilltown in Umbria, Italy.  Her paintings are of the places and things she loves, in Italy and in Ontario, with her “towns” in both countries among her favourite subjects.  In fair weather (and foul!) Jody can often be seen painting outside on her portable easel, in backyards and parks, on sidewalks and streets, rooftops and front porches.

Jody’s work, both oil paintings from observation, and her collages, have been exhibited widely at shows in Canada, the US and in Italy.  She teaches painting, experimental drawing and collage at the Dundas Valley School of Art and at workshops throughout Ontario.  In Italy, she offers 2 & 3 week intensive studio art workshops to emerging and established artists through Jody Joseph Art Workshops, Ltd.
