James Ridyard is a self taught painter who lives in Toronto where he holds an active studio practice. Hailing from the theatre, James brings to t he visual arts a dramatic interest in historical tradition and contemporary representation. His work has received critical media attention and he his currently represented in Toronto and Ottawa, as well as being Colborne Lodge's Artist in Residence.
