Toronto artist
Peter Colbert believes that art, as with life, should be about passion; and that working without it is simply a waste of time. This belief is more apparent than ever in his latest acrylic paintings - His bold colours and brush strokes freely applied to canvas in his rich and textural abstracts, as well as his minimalist yet intensely emotional figurative paintings that harmonize the intentionally broad strokes of the paint application with the fluid, gestural nature of the human form.
